What's New in TeamOne's January release
Version: 0.54
Explore the latest features and updates in TeamOne's January release, enabling more efficient collaboration and productivity for your team.
Add linked shapes
This release introduces a new feature that allows users to link shapes with a connector using fewer clicks. You can do this in several ways:
- Add a shape and click on a connection point to add a new shape. The new shape will keep the same format as the original shape.
- Click on a connection hint and drag to extend a new connector. Upon release, an object menu where you can select the next new shape to connect appears.
- On non-touch devices, hover over a connection point to display a preview of a new shape connected by a connector. Click on the connection point to add the new shape.
Touch
On touch devices, click a connector to automatically add the next shape.
Non-touch
On non-touch devices, hover over a point to show a hint for the next shape.
Formats
The new shape follows the same format as the original shape.
Text
Also works on text boxes. Click connector to add a new text box.
Start without sign in
On supported Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs), users can start using TeamOne without signing in. Here's what's available:
- Every session starts with a fresh canvas, after accepting legal and cookie consents.
- Draw, add shapes, and explore the canvas freely. Users are only required to sign in if they need to save progress or access other boards.
- Users can manually reset the board, or have it done automatically if left idle for 1 hour.
Tier updates
We’ve also updated how tiers work to make the TeamOne user experience better:
- Entity Tier. The Business Plan and Enterprise Plan have been consolidated and rebranded as the Entity Tier, emphasizing their shared capabilities tailored for organizations.
- Individual Tier. Similarly, the Free Plan has been renamed to the Individual Tier, reflecting its focus on individual users and their specific needs.
- Updated messages. Messages in buttons and popups have been updated for better readability and user understanding. The goal is to improve overall user experience and clarity in interactions.
In light of these changes, plans will be reassigned to appropriate tiers. We'll also apply necessary adjustments to align with the features and quotas of your new tier.
- Feature and Access Changes: Re-assignment to a new tier includes auto-archiving of Boards, Projects, and Teams. Note that archived Boards will no longer be embeddable in Teams meetings. User accounts may also be auto-deactivated based on tier adjustments.
- Entity Tier specific: Entity Admins will be notified via email about each change. Additionally, new users under an Entity can start using TeamOne right away without requiring approval from an Entity admin. Any newly created team will automatically adopt the same subscription level as the selected team.
Increased quotas
As part of this update, we've increased the quotas allotted for the Entity Tier:
Feature | New Limits |
---|---|
Concurrent users | up to 50 users |
Team limit | up to 2000 teams |
AI credits | up to 30 credits |
Seats | up to 2000 seats |
The Individual Tier also gets new increased quotas:
Feature | New Limit |
---|---|
Concurrent users | Up to 20 users |
AI feature access | Up to 20 requests |
File storage limit | Up to 15GB |
3rd-party image searches | Up to 50 searches |
Note that the following features will remain unchanged:
- The Individual Tier retains all View, Edit, and Share options that were available for boards and projects under the previous plan.
- Individual Tier can still export in standard definition. Exporting high-resolution images will only be available in the Entity Tier.
Interactive Features
Finally, we’ve added a couple of improvements to some of TeamOne’s interactive features:
- A new option has been added to set the expiry period for MS Teams' share tokens to provide more flexibility in managing token accessibility.
- Handwriting strokes that are unrecognizable as text or shapes are now highlighted with a green selection box. This should help identify issues with handwritten inputs faster.
- Messages in buttons and popups have been updated for better readability and user understanding. The goal is to improve overall user experience and clarity in interactions.
- The Help Center now includes a new Refresh button, as well as being the new home of the "Give Feedback" link.
