December 2024
Happy holidays everyone! Here's a list of new features being rolled out in December 2024.
Manager
We've added several new features for Manager for all licenses.
- Support for New Model: Manager now supports the CDE105 model, extending compatibility to a wider range of devices.
- WiFi Configuration Enhancements for Android 13: Added support for the "Trust on First Use" (TOFU) option in WiFi configuration, providing additional security for Android 13 devices.
- Automatic Input Switching for VBS-200A: Administrators can now set VBS-200A devices to automatically switch to a designated input source during urgent broadcasts. To enable, configure the input source in the Manager web interface under the VBS-200A settings. The device will switch to this input source whenever an urgent broadcast is detected.
- End Time Specification for Emergency Messages: The emergency alert feature now includes options to set an alert duration and expiration time, allowing administrators to define when alerts should automatically end.Â
- Broadcast Continuation for Reconnecting Devices: A new "Continue broadcast when device is online" option has been introduced, allowing emergency messages to resend to devices that were offline and have reconnected. This option is enabled by default for emergency messages, and broadcasts can only be terminated via the Manager web interface.

DeleteFor devices with Manager Advanced License, we've introduced new features as well: Â
- Advanced License Management: Administrators now have access to a dedicated section for managing and assigning licenses to devices, especially useful for handling licenses with varying expiration dates.
- Automated Android Version Upgrades: An "Android version upgrade" option has been added to the "update firmware" job. This allows administrators to schedule automatic OS upgrades, ensuring devices remain up-to-date with the latest Android versions.Â
- Multimedia Broadcast Continuation on Device Reconnection: For multimedia broadcasts, the "Continue broadcast within the end time when device is online" option has been added, allowing broadcasts to resume on devices that reconnect within the specified time frame. By default, the option is disabled. If enabled, this can only be stopped via the Manager web interface.
We hope these new features enhance your myViewBoard experience! As always, we’re committed to improving our product, so stay tuned for more updates. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.Â
